April Philmont Prep Hike
This is a hike with full pack through the Barton Creek Greenbelt. We will leave from the 360 Access parking lot, then hike upstream (south/southwest) from mile marker 3.5 to the top of the Hill of Life and mile marker 7.5. We will then return to the 360 Access parking lot. The hike will be between 8 and 10 miles in length and the planned return to the parking lot at 360 Access is noon. The trail will have some rugged sections, a water crossing, and a steep section.

Philmont participants will need to carry a full pack with your Philmont gear. Use the gear list on the Philmont Page on https://www.crew8787.org/Crew-news. You will also need to carry 4 liters of water, plus bring your own trail snacks.
Non-Philmont participants are welcome and you will not need to carry a full pack. You will need sturdy footgear, a daypack, 4 liters of water, trail snacks, and rain gear.
There are two options:
1. Meet at the 360 Access parking lot at 7:30 am or
2. Meet at Whataburger in Limestone Commercial Court in Pflugerville at 6:45 am and leave for trailhead at 7:00 am. Estimated return to Pflugerville for this option is 1:30 pm.
When you signup, please select the transportation option you will use to get to/from the hike.
There is no cost associated with this event.
